My Top 5 Favorite YouTubbers



I spend a good amount of time in YouTube.  I remember when it first started and I wish it didn't have commercials, I remember when it didn't have commercials and it's been so long ago I just can't believe what it looks like now.  I should, but I can't.  It's so commercialized, Charlie Brown warned us about these things.


Anyway.  There are some Youtubbers I just wait for their next video to come up and I have my notifications turned on for them.


1.  Philip DeFranco.
Image result for philip defrancoI remember Philip DeFranco during early youtube days, I thought he was interesting, cute, funny.  I usually found myself agreeing with a lot of the stuff that he was saying, not so much on his delivery and I didn't always agree with everything he said but it was new refreshing and like I said funny.  It was him and Shane Dawson videos that I used to watch and for whatever reason, I fell off from Shane and ended up keeping up with PhillyD. His "channel", because youtube didn't always have channels, has exploded.  It turns out I wasn't the only one who felt this way about him and he's just gained so much traction and popularity.  Usually, when he just had the one channel I would just let his videos of the week pile up and watch them on Fridays.

Since my time is limited now depending on what's happening in the news that will help me decide or not decide on whether or not I should watch his latest video right away.  And with our current administration and where fact checking is vital, I'm finding myself watching him more and more.  He's up to more than five million subscribers.  How do you even do that?

These guys are jerks and it's great. This channel cracks me up they point out everything wrong in movies. It's great. I keep waiting for them to sin Hackers, it's one of my favorite movies but has some flaws so I would like for them to sin that movie. It's funnier if it's a movie you like or seen more than once.







3. The Frugal Gardener
This is my dad's hobby, his youtube channel he likes to garden so if it isn't a video I helped him with I check out what he's posting.  He's up to 128 subscribers.

4. The Chic Natural, Jersey Stylezz
I had other ladies that I was following for hair advice but they kind of fell off, they either did a big chop right int he middle of their journey or they relaxed their hair!  So I find myself going to these ladies videos for tips that can help me throughout my natural hair journey.  Jersey Stylezz doesn't post nearly as often as Chic Natural but I feel like they both fit my hair type so I keep rewatching their videos and techniques.

Image result for shlinda1Shlinda1 is my newest youtube follow.  Turns out I have low porosity hair so she has a lot of great styling tips she's really funny but I don't know why I haven't just run through all of her videos yet but her low porosity videos but are on point, it's changed a lot for me so far.  I big little chopped in June and following her tips I'm seeing so much change just in terms of keeping my hair moisturized which has been one of my biggest issues.


5.  I'm wearing less makeup.  I need to remember to use my setting spray and I've spent so much time to and fro I've really felt like it doesn't make a difference to put on any makeup although I do miss eye shadow.  I used to really follow Sonjdradeluxe, AaliyahJay and ItsMyRayeRaye although the last she's got a ton of videos I feel like she's running out of ideas but all of her videos as a whole are great and informative especially if you're the same complexion as her, which I am not but it was good to see what was out there as far as options go for minority women.

Everyone I named has an amazing attitude they're upbeat, uplifting, sweet, funny, you don't feel like your energy is drained watching them.  I was watching one youtubber for awhile and every now and then she was involved in some kind of drama some how some way and she was always salty and she was rude on her ig.  She took the fun out of makeup tutorials which is a shame because she had great hooded eye tutorials and I learned a lot from her it was just the drama I couldn't handle with her and it really makes me appreciate other youtubbers and what they do more.

Chuck vs The Angry Fans

I love Chuck.  It's one of my favorite shows, it's one of the few shows that actually make me laugh out loud.  So when I saw a twitter post from Josh Schwartz about angry fans with bad ideas I was baffled.  I mean, to me, Chuck vs The Mask was a good episode, it won't win any awards, it isn't a masterpiece but I felt it was a funny and interesting episode.  The elephant on the internet is Chuck and Hannah and Sarah and Shaw.  What in the world indeed?  I'm not worried because Kristin and Brandon aren't staying.  I have a theory that either the both of them or double agents or at least one of them has a secret.  I think the  big issue is about the way that it was done, Sarah and Chuck broke up like five or six episodes ago and they're already with new people.  I can see Chuck doing this, but I didn't see Sarah doing this and with another spy at that!  I mean she burried Bryce, she broke up with Chuck and now she's with Shaw....

#AHS: Cult - Still No Cult

I know.  I know.  There's only been two episodes and I'm already pretty annoyed with American Horror Story.  Here are some suggestions as to what I would do. 1. Two-hour premiere for the first night if things are going to be this slow.  Or back to back night premieres.  Yes, we've had two gruesome deaths but we're not sure what killed them or we're supposed to question ourselves as to who killed them. 2. Shorter seasons .  I'd be fine with a shorter season if it meant more action faster. I guess my millenial brain doesn't like the pace. So far Sarah Paulson is scared of stuff her wife doesn't see and Winter is a terrible baby sitter.  Yawn. This episode we pick up right where the last episode ended with Ally screaming.  Which is a good portion of the first episode.  And there's still no cult.  We knew who the Coven, the Freak Show, the Hotel, the Roanoke Nightmare, Asylum and Murder House were.  We knew where...

Top 12 Favorite TV Openings

I was watching Burn Notice yesterday and I noticed, that they're opening is well, redundant.  At first I was cool, ya know, my name is Michael Weston, oh yeah!  Get on with the show, and now all these seaons later his name is still Michael Weston and the opening is still the same.  Sometimes I don't mind it when the opening stays the same, like on these shows: 1.  Roswell If you know me, then you know Roswell is my favorite show.  It had and still does have a lot of potential, I mean, come on, if we can bring back the Smurfs we can bring back Roswell. This is one of my favorites because Dido is one of my favorite singers. This isn't the opening I wanted. I wanted the first season but could not find it. 2.  True Blood Because the opening looks like soemthing you could film but once you thought about it, it would take a whole lot of time to do.  Besides were in the world would I find a dead fox to film anyway? 3.  Mad Men No other ope...
